Job Description

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Utah State University seeks 1-2 applicants for a graduate research assistant position in the areas of the environmental engineering and sustainable agriculture, starting fall 2022. The successful candidate will join the dynamic team at the Utah Water Research Laboratory under the supervision of Prof. Yiming Su. The student will have the opportunity to work on research projects related to: 1) the fate and transport of nano-agents in soil and plants and 2) nano functional materials development for environmental applications, such as PPCPs & PFAS degradation, and resource recovery.

The position is available to students interested in pursuing master’s or Ph.D. degrees in environmental engineering. Applicants are sought with background in materials science, environmental science, plant science, chemical engineering, environmental engineering, or other related fields. Candidates with research experience in innovative nanomaterial development, environmental implication of nanoparticles, interactions between plants and nanomaterials are especially encouraged to apply.
